Maruti Suzuki has rolled out a copper-and-chrome Aurum Edition pack for the strong-hybrid Victoris to mark the SUV's first anniversary. The kit costs Rs 22,990 and brings no mechanical changes.

Maruti Suzuki has marked the first birthday of its Victoris mid-size SUV with a special Aurum Edition, a dress-up package that adds copper and chrome highlights to the strong-hybrid versions of the car. The company announced the edition on Saturday, 24 October, in the thick of the festive buying season.

The name comes from aurum, the Latin word for gold, and the carmaker is pitching it as a celebration of what it calls a golden first year for the model. The kit is priced at Rs 22,990, on top of the cost of the car itself.

What the Aurum Edition adds

The Aurum Edition is an accessory pack rather than a new trim, so the changes are cosmetic. On the outside, the front, side and rear skid plates and the wheel arch cladding get copper-coloured inserts against grey. Chrome garnishes are added to the front grille, bumpers, fenders and body-side mouldings, and the door visors get a dark chrome finish.

Inside, the pack brings all-weather 3D floor mats for the cabin and a 3D mat for the boot. A rear trunk sill guard, meant to protect the boot opening from scratches while loading luggage, completes the list.

Nothing changes under the bonnet. The edition is limited to the strong-hybrid Victoris, which pairs a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with an electric motor and an eCVT automatic gearbox, and retains its pure electric driving mode. EVO India puts the combined output at about 114 bhp and 141 Nm, while CarDekho lists a claimed fuel efficiency of 28.6 kmpl for this powertrain.

Variants, price and availability

According to EVO India, the strong-hybrid Victoris variants on which the pack can be fitted cost between roughly Rs 16.42 lakh and Rs 19.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The wider Victoris range, which also includes petrol, CNG and all-wheel-drive options, starts at about Rs 10.50 lakh.

Maruti has not published a list of specific strong-hybrid variants eligible for the kit. CarDekho expects it to be offered across the hybrid line-up, but notes this is not yet confirmed. Buyers are being advised to check pricing and stock with Maruti Suzuki dealers. EVO India expects the pack to be a festive-season, limited-period offering, though the company has not said how long it will be sold.

A first year of brisk sales

The Victoris went on sale in September 2025 in the competitive mid-size SUV segment. Maruti says it has become the fastest passenger vehicle in India to cross both the 1 lakh and 1.5 lakh sales marks since launch, though it has not shared an exact cumulative figure.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer for Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki, said the styling upgrades were meant to make the festive season feel more special for customers. The model has also collected several awards in its first year, including the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026 title.

Actor Shahid Kapoor fronts the advertising campaign for the Aurum Edition, which the company says is aimed at younger, tech-savvy buyers.

Special editions built around accessory packs have become a common festive-season tool for Indian carmakers, allowing them to refresh a model’s appeal without changes to its engine or features. For Victoris hybrid buyers, the Aurum kit offers a more premium look for a relatively small extra outlay.
