PM-Kisan 24th instalment: no date announced yet. What farmers should check before the next ₹2,000 arrives
The Centre has not announced a date for the 24th PM-Kisan instalment, but on the four-month cycle it falls due in October. Here is what farmers should check.

Searches for PM-Kisan have jumped as farmers wait for the next ₹2,000 payment. The Centre has not yet announced a date for the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
When it is due
The scheme pays ₹6,000 a year to eligible landholding farmer families in three instalments of ₹2,000, sent by direct benefit transfer to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Instalments come roughly every four months.
The 23rd instalment was released on 20 June 2026 at Tarakeswar in West Bengal’s Hooghly district: more than ₹18,880 crore to over 9.44 crore farmers, 2.18 crore of them women. On the usual cycle, the next payment falls due in October, but there is no official date yet.
What to check now
- e-KYC: it is mandatory for registered beneficiaries. Payments can be held up without it.
- Land records: these must be seeded on the PM-Kisan portal.
- Aadhaar link: the bank account receiving the money must be linked to Aadhaar.
- Your status: use ‘Know Your Status’ on pmkisan.gov.in to see payment and beneficiary details.
The portal has flagged some cases where payments may be withheld pending verification, including certain land acquired after 1 February 2019 and families where more than one member is receiving the benefit.
The bigger picture
Over ₹4.46 lakh crore has been paid out since the scheme began in 2019, making it one of the world’s largest direct benefit transfer programmes. The Union Budget for 2026-27 provides ₹60,000 crore for it.
