The PG academic session is set to begin on 20 November. Candidates are advised to check the official MCC notice for any revisions.

As of its 11 October update, the MCC’s PG counselling page linked the 2026 schedule documents and noted that the seat matrix from NMC and NBEMS was awaited.

How to register

According to Careers360, candidates must open the PG Medical Counselling section on mcc.nic.in, select the NEET PG 2026 registration link and choose “New Registration”. After entering their details and creating login credentials, they fill in the form, upload documents, pay the fee and security deposit, then submit and save the confirmation page.

Careers360 lists a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1,000 for general candidates and Rs 500 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates for AIQ and central university seats, and Rs 5,000 for deemed universities. The refundable security deposit is Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively, and Rs 2 lakh for deemed universities.

Maharashtra bars seat blockers

In Maharashtra, PG medical and dental candidates who are allotted a seat in the final Centralised Admission Process round but do not report or join, leaving it vacant, will be barred from admission for the following two years, Careers360 reported. The rule, already applied to NEET UG admissions in the state, is part of the Maharashtra Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Rules, 2026, notified on 5 October.

The state has also scrapped the institutional-level round, with institutional and NRI quota seats to be filled online by the State CET Cell. Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif said the changes aim to make admissions “more transparent and quality-based”.
