Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana recovered strongly on its first Saturday, earning an estimated ₹69.80 crore net in India on Day 3, according to industry tracker Sacnilk as reported by Business Today.

That figure is about 45% higher than the ₹48.05 crore it made on Friday. The film had opened with ₹64.85 crore net on Thursday, which takes its three-day India net total to ₹182.70 crore. Its gross collection in India now stands at ₹218.25 crore.

The Hindi version remained the biggest earner, bringing in ₹53 crore net on Saturday across nearly 20,000 shows and ₹136 crore over three days. Among the southern versions, Kannada contributed ₹6.30 crore on Day 3, Telugu ₹6 crore, Tamil ₹2.50 crore and Malayalam ₹2 crore. Overall occupancy on Saturday was 41.3% across 23,696 shows.

The film has also done well abroad. Sacnilk estimates ₹60 crore gross from overseas markets on Saturday alone, taking the international total to ₹157.25 crore and the worldwide gross to roughly ₹375.50 crore after three days.

Diwali Sunday looks set to be bigger still. Advance bookings for Day 4 had reached ₹39.10 crore gross (₹33.73 crore excluding block seats) with more than 12 lakh tickets sold, led by Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Hindi accounted for about two-thirds of that advance figure.

These numbers are trade estimates and have not been confirmed by the producers.
