Kolo Muani’s late header gives Juventus 2-1 comeback win at Celta Vigo, keeps them top in Europa League
Trailing to a Hugo Alvarez goal, Juventus fought back at Balaidos on 15 October through Nick Woltemade's equaliser and a 92nd-minute header from Randal Kolo Muani.

A stoppage-time header from Randal Kolo Muani completed a Juventus fightback as they won 2-1 at Celta Vigo in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, 15 October (late at night in India), at the Estadio Abanca-Balaidos in Vigo, Spain. Hugo Alvarez had put the hosts in front in the first half before Nick Woltemade drew Juventus level.
The goals
beIN Sports reported that Celta went ahead after 18 minutes, with Alvarez scoring from close in after Williot Swedberg set him up. Before the interval, Woltemade wasted a close-range opportunity for Juventus, and the Spanish side held its lead at half-time.
Juventus equalised shortly before the 60-minute mark. Both outlets reported that Celta defender Marcos Alonso tried to chest the ball back towards his goalkeeper, but it dropped to Woltemade, who volleyed home. In the 88th minute Nico Gonzalez bent an effort just wide, and four minutes later Kolo Muani headed in a cross from Andrea Cambiaso for the winner.

According to beIN Sports, Juventus remain unbeaten in the Europa League after two matchdays and stay first in the league-phase standings, edging Bayer Leverkusen on goals scored. The outlet added that Juventus had not won a match after falling behind since November 2025, and said the victory took some pressure off head coach Luciano Spalletti.
Flashscore pointed out that Celta have now lost four consecutive matches in major European competition and have just one win from 10 competitive games this season. Iago Aspas, the club’s veteran forward, was brought on from the bench but was unable to alter the result.
