Jio Launches ₹10,000 Three-Year Prepaid Plan: 2.5GB a Day, Unlimited 5G, On Sale From Today

Reliance Jio’s new one-time recharge covers three years of calls, 2.5GB daily data and unlimited 5G for ₹10,000. It is ₹797 cheaper than three annual plans but carries fewer extras.

Reliance Jio has rolled out a single prepaid recharge that lasts three years and costs ₹10,000. The company calls it a first for the industry. It goes on sale today, Saturday, 7 November, through the MyJio app, Jio.com, Jio stores, retail outlets and other recharge channels.

What you get

  • Unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS a day
  • 2.5GB of high-speed data every day, plus unlimited 5G
  • A JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood subscription (Jio has not said for how long)
  • 12 months of Canva Pro Lite
  • 50GB of JioAICloud storage

Jio says the price and benefits stay locked for the full three years.

Is it cheaper?

Spread over 36 months, the plan works out to about ₹278 a month. Jio’s existing ₹3,599 annual plan offers the same 2.5GB a day and unlimited 5G; buying it three times would cost ₹10,797, so the new pack saves ₹797 over three years, or roughly ₹22 a month.

The saving comes with a slimmer bundle. The festive version of the annual plan included bonus data, Google Gemini Pro access, large cloud storage and a JioTV pack, none of which is listed for the three-year plan. The Canva perk also covers only the first year.

Who it suits

The pack makes most sense for users who are sure they will stay with Jio and want protection from future tariff increases. For context, Jio’s annual plan cost ₹2,999 before the July 2024 tariff revision and ₹3,599 now. The catch is the large one-time payment, and unlimited 5G still needs a 5G phone in an area with Jio 5G coverage.
