Political commentator Shehzad Poonawalla won the Virender Sehwag-hosted reality show after a contestant vote broke a deadlock. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was first runner-up.

Rise and Fall Season 2 has its champion. Political commentator Shehzad Poonawalla was crowned the winner of the MX Original reality show, taking home the trophy and prize money of ₹35 lakh. He has pledged the prize money to Chief Ministers’ relief funds for flood-hit states, including Bihar and Assam. The finale episode is streaming on Prime Video.
Final standings
- Shehzad Poonawalla — winner
- Priyanka Chahar Choudhary — first runner-up
- Gautam Gulati — second runner-up
- Swara Bhasker — fourth
- Karan Patel — fifth
How the finale played out
Six finalists entered the last episode. Niharika Tiwari went out first after the “Fortune Floor Pyramid” challenge, and Karan Patel and Swara Bhasker were eliminated later, leaving three in the final round. When those three could not settle the result among themselves, the other former contestants were asked to vote, and their verdict handed Poonawalla the title. The episode also featured performances, a reunion of evicted players, family visits and comedy from Harsh Gujral.
The winner’s journey
Poonawalla’s stay was eventful. His equation with Swara Bhasker swung from ideological rows to friendship and back to hostility, and he had a physical altercation with Siwet Tomar as well as heated exchanges with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Gautam Gulati. His big breakthrough came when he and Rishabh Jaiswal won the “Ticket to Finale” challenge, making him the first finalist. After his win, he said the journey from the show’s luxury “Tower” to its “Basement” had forced him to keep adapting, and thanked the makers, MX Player by Prime Video and Banijay Asia.
About the show
Hosted by former India opener Virender Sehwag, the season brought together 15 celebrities from television, films, politics and social media. Players are split into “Rulers” living in a penthouse and “Workers” in a basement, and power keeps shifting through tasks and twists.
