India’s Under-19 side made a tidy start to their ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup 2026 campaign on Friday, bowling Nepal out for 128 in 42.3 overs in their Group A opener at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman.

How the innings went

India, led by Lakshya Raichandani, chose to field. Nepal struggled to score freely against a disciplined attack and never got going; their run rate stayed close to three an over for most of the innings.

  • Darsh Sonar held Nepal together with 43 off 93 balls before falling to Kavya Paresh Patel in the 42nd over.
  • Off-spinner Arjun Rajput was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 8 in 5.3 overs, wrapping up the tail.
  • Left-arm spinner Yashveer Goud took two wickets, and Patel finished with 1 for 11 from five overs.

India need 129 to win. Young openers Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid, both coming off big Vinoo Mankad Trophy runs, are among the players to watch. India have won the Under-19 Asia Cup eight times.

Tournament format and India’s fixtures

The eight-team, 50-over tournament runs from 5 to 14 November. India, Pakistan, hosts UAE and Nepal make up Group A.
