NZ vs IND 1st ODI: Arshdeep’s Four Wickets Bowl New Zealand Out for 185 at Eden Park
Arshdeep Singh took 4 for 70 and Gurnoor Brar 3 for 44 as New Zealand were dismissed for 185 in 40.2 overs in Auckland; India lost Rohit Sharma for a duck early in the chase.

India’s bowlers dismissed New Zealand for 185 in 40.2 overs in the first one-day international of the three-match series at Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday, the opening game of the 50-over leg of India’s tour.
How the innings unfolded
Left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh led the attack with 4 for 70, removing Will Young, Henry Nicholls, Glenn Phillips and Kyle Jamieson. Gurnoor Brar picked up 3 for 44, including the wicket of Tim Seifert, who top-scored with 38. Anshul Kamboj was the most economical bowler, returning 2 for 22 from his 10 overs, while Axar Patel gave away just 12 runs in five overs.
New Zealand slipped from 73 for 2 to 131 for 8. Daryl Mitchell (28) was run out and Phillips made 30. A late burst from No. 11 Blair Tickner, who hit four sixes in a 23-ball 34, and an unbeaten 15 from Jacob Duffy helped the hosts past 180.
India’s chase
India, needing 186 to win, lost Rohit Sharma for a duck in the very first over, caught by Mitchell Santner off Jamieson. Captain Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli then started the rebuild.
The ODIs follow a five-match T20I series that India won 3-2, though New Zealand took the last two games.
