Duckett’s 167 Powers England to Record 386 in Lahore, but Sri Lanka Already Through to Tri-Series Final
England posted the highest ODI total ever made in Lahore to beat Sri Lanka by 55 runs in a dead rubber. Sri Lanka meet Pakistan in Saturday's final.

Ben Duckett struck a superb 167 as England piled up 386 for 5, the highest ODI total ever recorded in Lahore, to beat Sri Lanka by 55 runs in the sixth match of the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series on Thursday. The win came too late for England, who had already been knocked out after three straight defeats.
Duckett on song
The left-hander faced 132 balls and hit 24 fours, but not a single six, for his sixth ODI hundred and his second in as many games. He and Tom Banton (74 off 75 balls) put on 163 for the opening wicket, before Harry Brook added a brisk 44 off 34 balls in a third-wicket stand of 107 that came at better than a run a ball.
England’s total beat the previous Lahore record of 375 for 3, set by Pakistan against Zimbabwe in 2015.
Sri Lanka’s bowlers struggle
Asitha Fernando was the pick of the Sri Lankan attack with 2 for 63 from his ten overs, while Dasun Shanaka broke the big opening partnership. Eshan Malinga had a day to forget, conceding 101 runs.
Chasing 387, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 331 in 45.1 overs.
Final set
The result did not change the table. Pakistan finished on top with six points from four matches, and Sri Lanka, on four points with the best net run rate, had already booked their place in Saturday’s final. England finished bottom with a single win.
