JSW Combat SUV Spied Inside and Out Ahead of 4 December Debut: Plug-in Hybrid With Up to 360 bhp Expected
JSW Motors’ first vehicle, a boxy plug-in hybrid SUV expected to be based on the Jetour T2, has been spotted testing in camouflage ahead of its 4 December debut.

JSW Motors’ first car, the Combat SUV, has been caught testing again, this time with photos showing both the exterior and the cabin, though everything was heavily camouflaged. The SUV is set to debut on 4 December 2026.
The Combat is expected to be based on the Jetour T2 (sold in some markets as the Jetour Traveller) from China’s Chery group, and is likely to arrive initially as a fully imported unit. JSW Motors has announced plans for a manufacturing plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
Rugged, boxy design
The test mule shows an upright, squared-off body with square headlamps, a flat bonnet, roof rails, chunky bumpers, side steps and a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. It rides on 20-inch alloy wheels.
Expected features
The cabin layout appears to mirror the Jetour T2. Based on that model, buyers can expect:
- 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital instruments
- Powered, ventilated front seats with memory for the driver
- 12-speaker Sony sound system and 540-degree camera
- Level-2 ADAS driver assistance
Plug-in hybrid power
In the T2, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine works with an 18.4 kWh battery and two electric motors to produce up to 360 bhp and 610 Nm. The claimed electric-only range is about 90 km and total range up to 1,100 km. Whether the India-spec car will get all-wheel drive is not yet confirmed, and pricing has not been announced.
