The Aavesham director’s first Tamil film stars Suriya, Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, and arrives in theatres for Diwali. Suriya says he laughed within five minutes of the narration.

Scene, the first Tamil film from Aavesham and Romancham director Jithu Madhavan, is set to release in theatres on 6 November 2026, timed for Diwali. The film stars Suriya alongside Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, with Anandraj, Lal and Raj Priyan in supporting parts.
What Suriya said
Speaking at a promotional event titled “Scene Live in Dubai” on 25 October, Suriya described the film as a crime thriller carried by Jithu Madhavan’s signature sense of humour. He said he had wanted to work with the director for a long time and found himself laughing within the first five minutes of hearing the story, adding that audiences should expect an unpredictable experience in theatres. These remarks come from the film’s lead and producer, and are not an independent review.
The team
The film is produced by Suriya and Jyothika under their 2D Entertainment banner along with Zhagaram Studios. Music is by Sushin Shyam, who also makes his Tamil debut, with cinematography by Vineeth Augustian and editing by Ajmal Sabu. The title teaser came out on 9 September.
