Royal Enfield has pulled the covers off the Himalayan 750, its largest-displacement motorcycle so far. The adventure tourer was shown on 1 November, two days before the EICMA motorcycle show opens in Milan on 3 November, where full specifications are expected.

What we know

  • Engine: a new, larger parallel-twin in the 750 cc class. Exact capacity, power and torque have not been announced yet.
  • Electronics: cruise control (with switches on the right handlebar), traction control and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
  • Display: a 4-inch TFT screen with a revised joystick control.
  • Hardware: adjustable suspension, with a choice of alloy or cross-spoke wheels. Both run tubeless tyres.
  • Colours: Antarctic Silver, Siberia White, Viking Bronze, Tectonic Black and Aztec Green.

Launch and price

The Indian launch is expected at Royal Enfield’s Motoverse festival at the end of November. Autocar India puts the expected price at around ₹4.50 lakh. The Himalayan 750 will sit above the current Himalayan 450 and take on bikes such as the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Norton Atlas.
