Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 24th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme today, 30 October, at a national-level event in Bhildi town of Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. More than ₹18,680 crore will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible farmer families.

The announcement was made by Gujarat Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani. Apart from the main function, more than 2,100 cluster-level and 34 district-level events are being organised across Gujarat, with the central programme being telecast live. The official PM-Kisan handle on X had also confirmed 30 October as the release date.

What farmers get

Under the scheme, landholding farmer families receive ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments of ₹2,000. Since its launch, more than ₹4.47 lakh crore has been paid out over the first 23 instalments. The 23rd instalment was released from Tarakeswar in West Bengal on 20 June 2026.

How to check your status

Visit the official portal pmkisan.gov.in, open “Know Your Status” in the Farmers Corner, enter your registration number and captcha, and verify with the OTP sent to your phone. The page will show your beneficiary details and payment history.

e-KYC is compulsory for all registered beneficiaries. If your instalment does not arrive, check whether your e-KYC, land record verification and Aadhaar-bank linking are complete, as these are the most common reasons for a payment being held back. The portal also has a help desk for complaints.

Who is not eligible

Income-tax payers, holders of constitutional posts, serving or retired government employees (other than multi-tasking, Group D and Class IV staff), pensioners drawing ₹10,000 or more a month, and registered professionals such as doctors, lawyers and chartered accountants are excluded from the scheme.
